Google Wallet Will Let You Attach Money in Gmail

We already knew Google's got big plans to become your default money manager, killing the other contenders in the process. But now we're starting to find out just how deep the rabbit hole goes. Over the next few months, Google will be rolling out a Gmail option to attach money just like you would with any ol' file.

The service certainly seems like it's going to be highly convenient. Just a few clicks and you'll be shooting off virtual cash to anyone's inbox?even if they don't have a Gmail address. This is, of course, assuming you have a Google Wallet account, but once that's set up and with this addition, using it really will become a virtually inescapable prospect.

In addition to sending dough, you'll also be able to accept incoming payments as well as return the money, should benevolence strike. The money attachment option will only be available to Gmail users over the age of 18, and if your friends happen to get it before you, they can bestow you with the new feature by sending you a payment.
