I can relate. When things were not moving along for me I was getting frustrated. I had stopped my process for about a year while I started a new job and moved to a larger place. Then when I wanted to get started again nothing was happening because of staffing changes within the agency, emails went unanswered, phone calls not returned.
In April I went to a ministers training course and when we were praying for one another I requested that they pray for me about the adoption process, that either things start moving or that if it was not what I was suppose to be doing then I just be alright with it and I'd find other things to fill my time (I thought I'd go back to school and work on my doctorate degree). One prayed that I would get a "sign" that God would show me which way to go.
Within 12 hours a new case worker from the agency called and said she had my file on her desk and wanted to help me move forward. Things started moving, she helped me get set up for the home safety inspection, got all my paperwork updated and in order, got me up to the point of her coming to my home for the actual home inspection - then she left the agency and went back to the court system...so sad...but another one from the agency called the next day and came out to do the inspection, was approved and finished in July and in August got a call for my FD...if things had happened sooner my FD wouldn't even have been in the system, she wouldn't even have been born yet and I could have already have had children in the home and unable to take her.
So if you are not approved yet, then maybe the child(ren) you are suppose to help are not even in the system yet - if you are approved now, just the right child(ren) will come into your home at just the right time.
It sounds like you have a lot to offer some very lucky children. I will pray that either way you are at peace with the situation and that you know that those you are to help will come to you at just the right time.
